The Aviation Department is seeking a motivated Airport Duty Manager (Aviation Superintendent) to join the Public Safety and Security Division. The Airport Duty Manager serves as the principal Aviation management representative ensuring situational awareness and the safe, secure, and efficient operation of the entire airport complex during emergencies, extreme weather, special events, and day-to-day operations. This position is an integral part of decision making and crisis management during regular business hours and the ranking staff member on property during off hours. The Airport Executive Team will rely on this person to make decisions and give directions in their absence. This position will require working rotating shifts in a 24x7 operation including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Airport Duty Manager (Aviation Superintendent) for the Aviation Department manages and operates the Phoenix Airport System which consists of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Deer Valley Airport, and Goodyear Airport. The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has consistently been ranked as one of the top ten busiest airports in the nation. Serving more than 130,000 passengers daily, with over 1,200 flights per day, the airport has a total economic impact of more than $38 billion per year.
