Ooh La La - Fly Nonstop to Paris

With new nonstop flights between Phoenix and Paris starting May 23, there’s never been a better time to visit the City of Lights. The enchanting capital offers a wealth of activities combining history, culture, and romance. Here are some ideas to inspire you:

An Icon. What could be more iconic than visiting the Eiffel Tower?! Take an elevator to the top for incredible views of the city. And, since you’re nearby, enjoy a picnic in the adjacent Champ de Mars gardens. Pro tip: Walk by at night to marvel at the twinkling lights.

Museums Galore. Visit the Louvre to discover thousands of treasures like the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, Winged Victory of Samothrace, The Coronation of Napoleon and so much more. The Louvre is a true gem in Paris and the largest art museum on the planet.  And, a chance to see incredible art doesn’t end at the Louvre. Paris is home to many museums including the Musee d’Orsay, Musee Rodin, the Musee Marmottan Monet, and so many more.

Prepare to be stunned. The stained-glass windows at Sainte-Chappelle located in the heart of Ile de la Cite are incredible. This is a must see on your trip to the City of Light.

Take a walk. What could be more Parisan than strolling along the banks of the Seine and seeing artists and listening to musicians play a romantic tune? Cruises along the Seine are also popular.

Visit an artistic enclave. Montmartre is where you can find great views and charming streets. It is the home of Sacre-Coeur Basilica, one of Paris’ most popular sites and notable images. Stand on the steps for great views of the city and then wander around the areas enchanting streets.

Taste the local cuisine.  Paris has it all.  Visit a café, grab a baguette, and have a picnic lunch, indulge in high-end cuisine. You won’t go hungry in the city as it is a gastronomic haven.

Paris also makes a great starting point for your dream French vacation. You could head to the Loire Valley for wine tasting and chateau visiting. You could head north to Mont-Saint Michel to see an incredible abbey and tidal island. You could even go to Disneyland Paris or Bourdeaux. The options are truly endless.  With the Olympics taking place this summer, a visit to the Olympic sites after the Games might also be in order.
