Aviation Careers Celebrated at SOAR with STEM
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, in partnership with American Airlines and the SciTech Institute, hosted five area schools participating in SOAR with STEM. This first-of-its-kind event for students in the Phoenix area was designed to drive interest in high-demand, STEM-related career paths in the aviation industry.
The event brought together educators, students and aviation professionals from throughout the region. Students were able to particpate in hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, board an airplane and get a behind-the-scenes tour of Phoenix Sky Harbor’s largest aircraft maintenance facility operated by American Airlines.
