Sky Harbor Simplifies Bus Routes for East and West Economy Parking
Phoenix, AZ – Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is simplifying and streamlining its bus routes. Beginning February 1, travelers will no longer have to remember whether they parked in the Gecko, Roadrunner or Jackrabbit parking lots. The Airport is re-naming the routes to provide customers an easier travel experience.
On the east side of the Airport, travelers will either take the bus for East Economy Uncovered Parking or the East Economy Garages. This change means that one bus route will be dedicated to the entire uncovered parking area and one will be dedicated to the garages.
This transition will create an express route between the East Economy garages and the terminals. In the past, buses serving the economy garages also picked up at various locations throughout the parking lot. The East Economy garages are the most convenient and offer the quickest access to Terminal 4, Sky Harbor’s busiest terminal. In addition, it is often easier to find a space in the Economy garages than in the uncovered Economy parking. The cost is only $2 more per day than the uncovered parking.
The bus route for West Economy parking will simply change its name from the Jackrabbit route to West Economy.
"These changes in the bus routes will result in enhanced customer service for travelers," said Sky Harbor’s Assistant Aviation Director Carl Newman.
