Phoenix Airport Museum’s artwork and exhibitions located throughout the airport, treat your date to a meal from local restaurants, and do a little shopping.

Phoenix Sky Harbor’s Terminal 4 offers a variety of delicious pre-security dining options from Chelsea’s Kitchen to Joe’s Real BBQ.  Visitors can stop by Yogurtlogy for a dessert or Cheuvront Restaurant & Wine Bar, which offers an extensive wine list.  And, during each Saturday in May, those coming to the airport for Date Night can save money on a variety of dining options in Terminal 4.  Offers include America’s Taco Shop, Chelsea’s Kitchen, Cheuvront’s Restaurant & Wine Bar, Joe’s Real BBQ, Lo-Lo’s Chicken & Waffles, Sauce, Smashburger, Starbucks, and Wildflower Bread Company.  Simply visit skyharbor.com/datenight and show the coupon of your choice on your phone.

Currently, America’s Friendliest Airport® offers exhibitions featuring Mitch Fry’s wood sculptures nearly 8-feet tall in, “Form Matters;” pop art pottery from a Native American artist Susan Folwell in an amazing exhibit, “Between Two Worlds;” and black and white portraits from renowned photographer Scott Baxter with his exhibition “100 Years, 100 Ranchers.”  The exhibition “Moving Forward” at Phoenix Sky Harbor’s busiest terminal, Terminal 4, includes historical photographs and artifacts that document Sky Harbor’s 80 years of growth as well as a look ahead at where the airport is headed.

Locals, like travelers, enjoy coming to see unique pieces from Arizona artists, located in all three terminals, pre-security.  In addition, visitors will find art at the consolidated Rental Car Center as well as nine integrated works of public art along the PHX Sky Train® system, including beautiful terrazzo flooring, glass murals, and a sculptural ceiling installation.  All projects are designed to provide an enhanced cultural experience for airport visitors by giving them an opportunity to see the artistic and cultural diversity of Arizona and its artists.   Date Night visitors can visit skyharbor.com/selfguidedtours for information on art exhibitions and things they can see while at the airport.

Visitors might also want to do a little shopping while they are out at the airport.  America’s Friendliest Airport® offers a variety of shops from Mosaic, which offers one-of-a-kind items perfect for that special someone, to Hudson Booksellers where shoppers can pick up the latest bestseller, to the Team Shop where visitors can outfit themselves with their team’s colors.  Many more shops are available, all offering something uniquely different.  Visit skyharbor.com for more information.
