Employee Commended for Quick Thinking

by Public Relations | Published On: Mar 05, 2013 | Last Updated:

Ace Parking Supervisor Patti Moe’s quick thinking kept three children out of harm’s way in early February. Patti Moe was going about her job, when she noticed what Police believe was an impaired driver in Sky Harbor’s East Economy Parking area. The driver had three young children in the car. When the car approached the exit toll booth, Patti was able to intervene. Patti managed to convince the driver to give her the keys to the car. This quick thinking prevented the suspected impaired driver from leaving with the children before Police arrived.

It was her concern for others and responsiveness that helped to keep the driver, the children in the car and other drivers safe. For her selfless act and concern for others, Patti was bestowed with a “FLY” or “Friendly Let me help You” award from Sky Harbor.
