Mr. Ed Maldonado, Vice Chair

PAAB Member Ed Maldonado

Mr. Maldonado is an attorney (sole practitioner) who focuses on Criminal Defense work, representing the accused in all misdemeanor and felony offenses throughout the state of Arizona. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at AZ Summit Law School. Mr. Maldonado currently serves as the President of Los Abogados (AZ Hispanic Bar Assoc.). He also serves on the Arizona State Bar Appointments Committee, is the Vice Chair of the Judicial Selection Advisory Board for the City of Avondale, and serves as a mentor through the State Bar Mentorship Program & Los Abogados.

In 2014 Mr. Maldonado was named one of Phoenix Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and one of Valle del Sol’s 40 Hispanic Leaders Under 40. He is also a member of the winning team for Valley Leadership Class 35’s Community Service Project Award (Art4All – Mr. Maldonado is a graduate of Valley Leadership Institute Class 35, a graduate of the inaugural class of the National Collaborative Bar Leadership Academy and a graduate of the Arizona State Bar Leadership Institute.

Mr. Maldonado is licensed to practice law in the State of Arizona and the Federal District Court of Arizona. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, the Maricopa County Bar Association, Los Abogados AZ Hispanic Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the AZ Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the United Latino Business Coalition. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice from Arizona State University and his Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at ASU. Mr. Maldonado enjoys music and is a native of Arizona. He is married to his high school sweetheart and has two beautiful children.
