Airport Roadway Restrictions

Roadway Restrictions

Eastbound Lanes Restricted Saturday, Sunday

Eastbound Sky Harbor Boulevard will be restricted from the west Cell Phone Waiting Lot to Terminal 3 from midnight Friday to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Access to and from the Cell Phone Waiting Lot and turnaround lanes from westbound Sky Harbor Boulevard will be maintained but traffic delays should be expected.

The restrictions are part of ongoing road maintenance.

Motorists picking up and dropping off passengers should allow additional travel time accessing the airport from the west this weekend. To avoid roadway congestion and delays, passengers can be picked up and dropped off at the 44th Street PHX Sky Train® Station.

Message boards on highways around the airport will have updates and directions for drivers. Please continue to watch here for future road restrictions and closures and please drive with caution around road workers and barriers.

Work on Westbound I-10 to Impact Exit from Airport Overnight Saturday

Westbound Interstate 10 between the Interstate 17 interchange and Seventh Avenue will be closed from 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, through 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 20 for tunnel maintenance.

Drivers leaving Sky Harbor by using the westbound exit ramp onto I-10 must use northbound State Route 51 or eastbound Loop 202 since there will be no access to westbound I-10.

Consider using alternate routes to avoid delays and stay up to date with Arizona Department of Transportation.

Westbound Inner Lanes at Terminal 3 Closed to Passenger Pick-up, Drop-off

The westbound inner lanes at Terminal 3 will be closed beginning at 2 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4 until further notice for terminal construction work. Passenger pick-up and drop-off will be restricted to the north inner curb.

Buses, shuttles, taxis and other methods of ground transportation will be located on both north and south outer curbs in their normal locations.

The 44th Street PHX Sky Train® Station remains the preferable alternative for picking up and dropping off passengers in order to avoid roadway congestion.

Please watch here for future road restrictions and closures. As always, please allow additional travel time in and around Terminal 3 during the Modernization Project.
