Roadway Restrictions

Overnight Restrictions Planned on SR 143

State Route 143 north of Sky Harbor will undergo overnight lane and ramp closures as the Arizona Department of Transportation does road work.

SR 143 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction between Washington Street and McDowell Road beginning Sunday, Sept. 16, and ending the morning of Friday, Sept. 21. All work is scheduled to occur between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Motorists bound for the airport on southbound SR 143 from Loop 202 should allow extra travel time and consider an alternate route. As always, please be cautious when driving in the presence of workers.

Rental Car Center Shuttle Pick-up Moved for Terminal Construction

The passenger pick-up point for the Rental Car Center shuttle at Terminal 3 will be relocated to the south curb effective 4 a.m. on June 12, 2018 until further notice for construction.

Only taxis, courtesy vehicles, and inter-city buses will pick up passengers on the north curb since the eastbound inner lanes on the north side of Terminal 3 are closed until further notice for terminal construction work.

Cars can pick up and drop off passengers on the south curb of Terminal 3.

The 44th Street PHX Sky Train® Station remains the preferable alternative for picking up and dropping off passengers in order to avoid roadway congestion.

Please watch here for future road restrictions and closures. As always, please allow additional travel time in and around Terminal 3 during the Modernization Project.
