Roadway Restrictions


Buckeye Lane Restrictions in Effect Through Sept. 30

Beginning Tuesday, July 7 through Wednesday, Sept. 30, the north and south crosswalk on the east side of Buckeye Road and the 16th Street intersection will be closed. The two right lanes on westbound Buckeye Road between Sky Harbor Circle and 16th Street will also be restricted. Please see map. 


PHX Sky Train Shutdown Planned July 14-16

Beginning Tuesday, July 14 through Thursday, July 16, the PHX Sky Train® will shut down nightly from 8 p.m. until 4 a.m. the next morning for maintenance. An Airport shuttle will be in service during shutdown times.  Please see a map for details.

Terminal 3

  • North side, outer curb, exit Door 3
  • South side, outer curb, exit Door 8

Terminal 4

  • North side, Level 1, outer curb, exit Door 7

  • North side, Level 2 curb, exit Door 27 (for 44th Street Station Only)

East Economy Lot

  • South side of train station, west end

44th Street Station

  • North side of train station, east end


Long-term Lane Restrictions in Place Near Terminal 4

Lane restrictions will be in place around Terminal 4 until further notice for construction work. Motorists should be aware of workers, equipment and barricades when driving through construction areas and allow extra time for traffic delays.

Terminal 4, West End
  • North side, eastbound Sky Harbor Boulevard
    • Outer curb, left-most lane
    • Outer curb, vehicle staging lane and Gore area
    • Inner curb, left-most lane  
  • South side, westbound Sky Harbor Boulevard
    • Inner curb, left-most lane
    • Outer curb, vehicle staging lane

Onramp to I-10, Offramp to Sky Harbor Boulevard Restricted to Single Lane

The westbound Interstate 10 freeway onramp from westbound Sky Harbor Boulevard is restricted to one lane indefinitely, and the eastbound I-10 freeway ramp to eastbound Sky Harbor Boulevard will be restricted to one lane indefinitely beginning Jan. 13, 2020.  Please see a map for details.


Westbound Access to Buckeye Road to be Rerouted

Westbound Sky Harbor Boulevard beneath the Interstate 10 overpass will be closed permanently Jan. 6, 2020. Please see a map for details.

Sky Harbor Boulevard access to westbound Buckeye Road will be rerouted to begin near the West Economy Park and Walk.


General Information

Drivers should also be aware that due to construction projects, there could be some roadway restrictions at the airport. Drivers should slow down for construction and watch for signs. Please allow for extra time when traveling.
