PHX Cargo By The Numbers

In 2019 Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) processed over 393,100 U.S. Tons (356,600 MI) of cargo between two complexes: South Air Cargo and West Air Cargo. Cargo operations at PHX are forecasted to increase year over year well into the future. The  Comprehensive Asset Management Plan (CAMP) is PHX’s roadmap for the future and includes new air cargo development to handle forecasted increases. South Air Cargo’s cargo integrators (FedEx and UPS) would be relocated to a new north cargo area. The West Air Cargo houses all other cargo and passenger airline cargo facilities and would also be relocated to the north area to accommodate new Taxiways U and V and the West Terminal expansion and associated concourses. The consolidation of cargo facilities to a north cargo area allows for greater facility efficiency and the ability to accommodate future cargo demand.
