PHX Green Curb Finalist for Sustainability Award
The City of Phoenix Aviation Department has been recognized as a finalist for the Arizona Forward Environmental Excellence Awards. The prestigious awards recognize environmental excellence and accomplishments in Arizona. Phoenix Sky Harbor is the first airport in the country to have a Green Curb, leading the way in sustainable airport ground transportation and reducing carbon emissions. The awards will be announced on Saturday, March 23.
The Green Curb, announced in November at the annual Airports Going Green Conference, provides rideshare riders with a conveniently located pickup area, making electric vehicle pickup locations easily visible at both airport terminals.
