Language Tools to Assist Our Customers

Did you know resources are available for foreign language translation? This is particularly helpful if you encounter customers in the terminals who need assistance, and you do not speak their language. Here are some options:

  • Use Google Translate. Google Translate is a multilingual translation tool that helps employees and guests at PHX quickly interpret written or spoken language, making communication smoother and more inclusive across language barriers.
  • Take the customer to an Information Counter. There, they can access GLOBO, a translating service. GLOBO provides translation for nearly all languages worldwide. GLOBO is also available by contacting the Command Center.
  • Ask a Navigator for assistance. All Navigators have Google Translate on their issued cell phones as well as the contact information for GLOBO. Some Navigators also speak multiple languages.
