As Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport celebrates the Navigators’ 25th anniversary, we are featuring long-time navigator volunteers. Arthur Messinger is one of our longest-serving Navigators. He has logged more than 8,500 volunteer hours since starting as a Navigator in November 2002, and is a member of the Navigators’ Compass Club, for those who have served more than 1,500 hours with PHX.

Over the course of eight weeks, these teens are assisting passengers, gaining volunteer experience, and learning what it takes to keep America’s Friendliest Airport® running smoothly.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport recently hosted a heartwarming “Bring Your Grandchild to Volunteer Day” as part of the Navigator Volunteer Program. During their regular shifts, PHX Navigators welcomed their grandchildren to join them, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of airport hospitality and guest service. Altogether, 14 grandchildren signed up for a memorable day at the Airport with their Navigator grandparents.
