Doggie Director Travel Tips

Paws what you’re doing and read some holiday travel tips from Doggie Director Finn! The December holidays are here and Navigators and Navigator Buddies are ready to welcome all the holiday travelers to Phoenix Sky Harbor. These busy days can be ruff, so Finn is here to share some tips and reminders to help create a paws-itive airport experience.

Plan ahead
Be a pup-star by planning ahead and arriving early at the airport. Passengers and anyone picking up loved ones should check their flight status with their airline. It’s recommended to arrive at least two hours early before flying domestically, or three hours early for international travel.

Reserve a parking spot
Reserve barking—er, parking, in advance at skyharbor.com/parking/. During holiday season, spaces can fill up quickly. Having a reservation can help ensure you have a spot.

Cell phone waiting lot
Fur-get driving around the airport; use a free Cell Phone Waiting Lot instead! Phoenix Sky Harbor has three free, 24-hour parking lots, located east of Terminal 4, west of the West Economy Garage, and south of the 44th Street PHX Sky Train® Station.

Use PHX Sky Train® stations
All aboard the paw-ler express! Avoid roadway congestion by using the 24th Street or 44th Street PHX Sky Train® stations for easy drop-offs or pick-ups.

De-stress with a Navigator Buddy
Nervous about traveling? Navigator Buddies are pawfessionally trained to help unwind from the travel stress (often found with a Navigator.) For help with directions or recommendations at PHX, ask a Navigator (sometimes found with a Navigator Buddy)!
