SanTan Spirit House Expands Local Footprint in Airport
A new concept gaining popularity in Terminal 4 has its roots in a neighboring city but is making a home in PHX.
Jamie Hoffman oversees all retail at SanTan Brewing Company, including the brewpub in Terminal 3 and the new SanTan Spirit House in Terminal 4. SanTan Brewing got started in Chandler, a city in the East Valley, before branching out to satellite locations.
“We started 2007 with the intention of being a brewpub where we served beer and chicken wings in downtown Chandler,” Hoffman said. “We evolved and are now making spirits and beer covering the state of Arizona.”
SanTan Brewing was one of the new restaurants to open in the modernized Terminal 3 south concourse in 2019. SanTan Spirit House was one of the final pieces of the beverage puzzle in the newest concourse in Terminal 4, opening in October 2025.
“We’re known for our whiskeys although we make a full line of vodkas, gins, rums, and amaros,” he said. “Our biggest thing recently are the ready-to-serve cocktails.”
The chance to represent Arizona is a big part of the appeal of opening a store in the airport.
“We’re proud they chose us to be here. The goal is to be the beer or spirit you think of when you think of Arizona,” Hoffman said. "So to have a location in airport really helps with that. When travelers come to Arizona, they see our beer and our spirits sell.”
