Celebrating 90 Years with Sticky Note Memories
Back in September, the terminals were filled with nostalgic memories and colorful sticky notes! In celebration of Phoenix Sky Harbor’s 90th Anniversary, the Guest and Employee Experience team led an activity where travelers and employees could write down their favorite memory and post it on a memory board. Navigators and Navigator Buddies hosted the event in each terminal, encouraging anyone passing by to walk down memory lane and share a Phoenix Sky Harbor memory.
Here is a glimpse of some of the memories shared:
“My favorite memory at Sky Harbor is meeting the therapy dogs and the friendly people.”
“I loved bringing my kids to the airport (2000). They thought the shuttle bus was an amusement park ride. They thought it was so much fun.”
“I love landing at Sky Harbor as I’m always greeted by Camelback Mtn. I’m Home.”
“I remember being a security guard in Terminal 1. Love that history.”
“We love the people in purple. Always happy :)”
“My sister and I walked around to the art museum gallery in T4, T3 & when T2 was alive. We had a great time exploring the airport.”
Thanks to everyone who helped make this event happen, not only during the terminal activities but also by helping create memories at America’s Friendliest Airport® these past 90 years.
