Local Favorites at Phoenix Sky Harbor Earn ‘Best of Phoenix’ Honors

Two businesses connected to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport were recognized in the Phoenix New Times “Best of Phoenix 2025” awards, celebrating the Valley’s standout spots for food, shopping and travel.

In addition, Phoenix-Goodyear Airport was also named Best Airport That Isn’t Sky Harbor. The airport, operated by the City of Phoenix Aviation Department, offers flight training and is a major maintenance and repair hub for domestic and international airlines.

In Terminal 4, two familiar favorites also took home top honors. Bunky Boutique earned Best Boutique for its playful mix of apparel, accessories and gifts. Known for its rotating selection of unique finds, from local-themed stickers to handmade jewelry, the shop continues to give travelers something new to discover with each visit. The boutique is located pre-security.

Tacos Chiwas, also located in Terminal 4 near gate B4, received the title of Best Gorditas. While the restaurant is well known for its flavorful tacos, the gorditas, grilled flatbreads stuffed with savory fillings such as deshebrada roja and rajas, earned praise for their bold taste and fresh ingredients.

The Best of Phoenix awards highlight the region’s most beloved local businesses each year, and this year’s winners showcase the vibrant variety travelers can enjoy right here at America’s Friendliest Airport®.
