Fundraiser Now Underway to Help Pilot Land Safely
Pilot, a brave dog rescued at Phoenix Sky Harbor, now needs your support
Pilot, believed to be a Doberman mix, had been spotted navigating traffic and harsh conditions around Phoenix Sky Harbor and nearby freeways. In the early hours of Aug. 23, a team of community volunteers, PHX team members and animal rescue groups worked together to safely capture him.
Now in recovery, Pilot is learning to trust humans again. He needs a calm foster home and ongoing care to prepare for adoption. Without a stable place to stay, he risks going to a county shelter, which can be difficult for a dog still adjusting to people.
Local animal care and rescue partners are supporting Pilot’s care. Those interested in fostering or helping spread the word are encouraged to get involved.
