Substantial Roadway Modifications Up Next for Taxiway Uniform
With construction now 40% complete, progress continues on the Taxiway Uniform project at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
As part of the project’s enabling construction phase, several major roadway modifications will begin to take shape in May, ultimately shifting all eastbound traffic on Sky Harbor Boulevard and Buckeye Road beneath the new taxiway bridge.
The new taxiway, scheduled for completion in 2027, will connect the north and south airfields on the west side of the airport and improve airfield safety and operations. Currently, the only taxiways at Phoenix Sky Harbor are on the east end of the airfield.
