Airport Business Gives Back to Community

August 18, 2026

Dr. Jeremy Levitt, president of the Levitt Group that oversees several businesses at Phoenix Sky Harbor, enjoys serving his community both inside the airport and outside.

“We have a diversity of clients or consumers in the airport which makes it interesting,” he said in explaining what makes operating at the airport different. “Both the operational side and the side of product development makes it interesting, makes it competitive, and working in the airports is a great space.”

Noting the wide array of customers from different cultures and backgrounds, the business need to provide different retail experiences harkens to his competitive nature.

“Trying to meet that demand and the process the analytics that go into it I think is very interesting. It’s a highly competitive environment but when you hit the nail on the head, there’s a lot of (satisfaction) that comes at the end of that.”

Consumers and competition aren’t the only things that make operating at the airport exciting.

“We have leadership at the airport that really care about the airport and we have highly professional staff in the Phoenix area,” he said. “It just makes the entire process easier when you have from the bottom up highly professional, visionary people committed and dedicated to seeing this airport succeed.”

Dr. Levitt’s partnership concessions handle the Phoenix Duty Free stores in Terminal 4, and Ironwood by Hudson/Giant Coffee, Passage by Hidson and Tech on the Go in Terminal 3.

As an Arizona State University alum, Dr. Levitt was very involved with philanthropy, education, and social justice work, and part of the reason he wanted to be a part of the business community here was to stay connected in a meaningful way.

“I wanted to engage in something in business we call social entrepreneurship where we can take proceeds from our profits and continue to support the community,” he said. “One of the ways I doing that now is by being president of the board of the George Washington Carver Museum and Culture Center here in Phoenix.”

“Social entrepreneurship is a part of our brand and it’s a part of our mission.”
