National Aviation Day Lands at PHX

Aug. 19 is National Aviation Day, a day to look back at how far the world of aviation has come since the Wright Brothers first took flight in 1903. By being the largest economic engine in the state and keeping up with the Valley’s growth, the Phoenix Airport System supports the continued development of aviation.
The Phoenix Airport System has a total economic impact of more than $44.3 billion per year. Phoenix Sky Harbor supports more than 47,000 jobs in the region, making it the largest employer in Arizona. With growing passenger numbers, PHX continues to invest in the future with developmental projects.
