Art Opportunities at the Phoenix Airport Museum
Did you know the Phoenix Airport Museum offers opportunities for Arizona artists to be considered for exhibitions throughout Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport?
The Phoenix Airport Museum maintains an Arizona Artist Database, which is used by museum curatorial staff to research artists and distribute “open calls” for upcoming exhibitions based on a specific theme. The museum generally issues an open call once every other year, though artists in the database may also be considered for additional opportunities as they arise.
Arizona artists interested in being included in the database are invited to submit the following information via email to airport.museum@phoenix.gov:
- First and last name
- City of residence (artists must reside in Arizona)
- A link to an artist website or an image of your artwork
Established in 1988, the Phoenix Airport Museum is one of the oldest and largest airport art programs in the nation, presenting exhibitions in more than 40 display areas throughout Phoenix Sky Harbor’s terminals. The Museum’s mission is to promote Arizona’s unique arts and culture.
