PHX Celebrates Airport Workers Day

July 14, 2026
Phoenix Sky Harbor marked Airport Workers Day on June 25 with a celebration of gratitude for the teams that help keep America’s Friendliest Airport® operating safely, efficiently and reliably every day.
Airports across North America, including Phoenix Sky Harbor, recognized the dedicated professionals who keep airport operations running, passengers and cargo moving, and communities connected. It is coordinated by Airports Council International – North America to highlight the essential contributions of the airport workforce, from customer service experience and operations to maintenance and facilities management.
Employees from across the airport gathered at the 44th Street PHX Sky Train® Station to enjoy ice cream, photo opportunities, appearances from Amelia the mascot and Navigator Buddies, and more.
Throughout the week, as part of Airport Workers Day, the airport highlighted several employees and the important work they do, sharing videos and stories across social media.
Phoenix Sky Harbor extends a sincere thank you to every airport worker. Their hard work, professionalism and passion make the airport welcoming, safe and dependable for millions of travelers each year. Their efforts help support the economic vitality that keeps Arizona moving forward.
