The Phoenix Area FAA Modernization Project, led by the FAA, proposes new and updated satellite‑based flight procedures to enhance safety and improve the efficiency of airspace serving Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and surrounding airports.

The draft environmental assessment and recordings of the FAA’s virtual public workshops held in May 2026 are available on the project webpage. The public comment period on the draft environmental assessment ends June 30, 2026.
