Aviation Air Service Leader Honored with City Manager's Employee Excellence Award

Congratulations to City of Phoenix Aviation Department Air Service Development and Marketing Administrator Lexie Van Haren (in photo with City Manager Ed Zuercher) on being named a winner of a prestigious city of Phoenix City Manager's Employee Excellence Award. The award recognizes exceptional contributions to public service. 

Van Haren guided the airport's efforts to attract the first nonstop scheduled service to Asia, with both STARLUX Airlines and China Airlines launching service from PHX to Taipei. She also has worked closely with Air France on the PHX-Paris route and with Aeromexico to restore daily service to Mexico City. 

The nomination said, "Lexie's ability to lead high-visibility projects, coordinate across departments and external partners, and deliver measurable economic results exemplifies excellence in public service and positions Phoenix Sky Harbor as a leading global aviation gateway."
