Public Comment Period for Phoenix Area FAA Modernization Project Draft EA Ends June 30
As part of the National Environmental Policy Act, the Federal Aviation Administration is conducting an Environmental Assessment for the Phoenix Area FAA Modernization Project. This FAA-led project proposes new and updated satellite‑based flight procedures to enhance safety and improve the efficiency of airspace serving Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and surrounding airports.
The FAA’s Draft Environmental Assessment is available on the FAA’s project webpage.
The FAA encourages the public to submit comments and questions on the Draft Environmental Assessment. Comments are the primary way to provide input during the NEPA process. All submissions will be reviewed and considered as part of the environmental review. The public comment period for the draft will end June 30, 2026.
