Lifesaving Action Doesn’t Stop After Work

October 14, 2026

A server at an airport bar was ready to leave work at the end of his shift but he wouldn’t walk away from a man having a medical emergency who needed help.

Dennis J., a server with airport vendor SSP America, was walking to his car after his shift when he saw a man collapse in front of him. Determining his heart and breathing stopped, Dennis and a bystander began to perform CPR.

“Knowing that he gave this man who collapsed on the floor a chance to live again, I'm proud of Dennis and the organization for having a great person like him,” said his general manager who nominated him for recognition.

We’re proud of him too, so he’s been recognized for his outstanding work by our Phoenix Sky Harbor On the FLY team (F = Friendly. L = Let me help. Y = You.)
