The 12 Days of Gratitude Arrives December 5

PHOENIX – America’s Friendliest Airport® is kicking off the holiday season with a special initiative designed to show appreciation. The 12 Days of Gratitude will commence on December 5 and run through December 16. During this time, a variety of activities will take place that will provide Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport with the opportunity to show its gratitude to its customers. And several other activities will take place that will give travelers the opportunity to show their gratitude for others.

“At America’s Friendliest Airport®, we’re always looking for ways to enhance the experience for our travelers,” said Director of Aviation Services Chad Makovsky. “I’m excited that this holiday season, we’ll be offering a variety of activities to acknowledge and thank our customers while also providing them the opportunity to pay it forward by helping others.”

Over the course of the 12 days, customers will find activities taking place both pre-and post-security in both terminals.  They’ll have the opportunity to win prizes, take their photo with our mascot Amelia the Airplane, take photos with Navigator Buddies, participate in an art activity, write notes of gratitude, and donate items for a canned food drive, among others. Additionally, throughout the 12 days, staff will be handing out chocolate coins and thank you cards to passengers as well as surprising and delighting a lucky passenger each day with a Phoenix Sky Harbor gift bag.
