PHX Announces 2026 Lineup of Arts and Culture Programs

Popular Culture Corner and Traveling Tunes Programs Return

PHOENIX – America’s Friendliest Airport® looks forward to continuing to celebrate local arts and culture in 2026 with an exciting lineup of programming for its Culture Corner and Traveling Tunes programs.

Launched in 2025 as part of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport’s 90th anniversary celebration, the Culture Corner has been well-received by travelers and employees. Located post-security in Terminal 3, the Culture Corner features monthly programming showcasing the rich diversity, creativity and cultural heritage of Arizona. The program brings community organizations, performers, and educators directly to travelers, transforming the airport into a welcoming gateway to the region. In 2025, organizations such as the Phoenix Sister Cities Taipei Committee, MIM, Phoenix Zoo, Arizona Heritage Foundation, and S'edav Va'aki Museum, among others offered programming to travelers and employees.

“Our goal is to elevate the passenger experience,” said Aviation Director Chad Makovsky. “Family-friendly programs like the Culture Corner, Traveling Tunes, and our airport art program, give us an opportunity to create memorable moments for travelers and employees alike.”

In 2026, the Culture Corner will feature a thrilling lineup of local partners and cultural institutions, including Ballet Arizona, the Great Arizona Puppet Theatre, the Phoenix Public Library, the Heard Museum, the Phoenix Zoo, and the Valle Del Sol Folklórico Club, among many others.* Monthly programming will highlight everything from dance and storytelling to science, history, and hands-on cultural demonstrations.

Complementing the Culture Corner, Phoenix Sky Harbor’s Traveling Tunes program will continue to provide live music performances four times each month. Performances are offered twice a month in both Terminal 3 and Terminal 4. Travelers can enjoy a wide range of musical styles from Easy Listening and R&B/Soul to Country, Soft Rock, Full Acoustic, and Percussions with artists such as Juan Felix, Ellis Green, Clydene Balke, Gal Drimmer, Timothy O’Brien and more.

Additionally, the Airport Museum Program, one of the largest airport art programs in the country, also offers a look at Arizona artists and culture. Visitors will find artwork and exhibitions displayed throughout the airport, including in the pre-security Terminal 4 Gallery, the post-security Terminal 3 Gallery, exhibition cases throughout both terminals, and at the Rental Car Center. One of the newest exhibitions called Spectral Alchemy is on display in the Terminal 4 Gallery. This exhibition showcases 15 diverse local artists who use mediums like neon, spray paint, or digital animation to explore the fascinating spirit of light. In April, the Phoenix Airport Museum will be opening a new music-themed exhibition highlighting notable musicians and bands that have emerged from Arizona. “Phoenix Sky Harbor’s Airport Museum brings our region’s art and heritage to life with distinctive, one‑of‑a‑kind exhibitions,” said Airport Museum Manager Haley Hinds.
