Spooktacular Fall Travel Tips

October 14, 2026

October brings fall break, trick-or-treating, and a high volume of passengers at Phoenix Sky Harbor. If you’re traveling this fall, check out some travel tips to help ease any stress that comes with a day of travel.

It can be tricky to find a parking spot at the airport, putting stress on a day of travel before it even starts. Give yourself a treat by reserving a parking spot in advance. You can book anywhere from two hours up to six months before arriving at the airport.

You can reserve a parking space in the economy parking facilities, terminal garages, and 24th Street Express Pay Parking.

To reserve a spot, view parking rates, and find availability, visit skyharbor.com/parking/

Getting ready for take-off? Don’t forget these other travel tips:

  • Plan ahead – Check your flight status with your airline, leave early and allow plenty of time before your flight, and use Early Bag Check.

  • Prep for security – Be REAL ID ready, use PHX RESERVE, and check TSA Security Checkpoint wait times on our website.

  • Pick-ups, drop-offs and waiting lots – Use the 44th and 24th Street PHX Sky Train® Stations or wait at one of our three cell phone waiting lots to avoid circling the terminals.
